He was exported to the USA as a 10 year old after his first successful World Cup season here. He continues to perform at World Cup level and Grand Prix with his young rider Karl Cook and now expat French legend Eric Navet. He qualified for the 2013 World Cup final, and was on the USA Nations Cups teams in Europe.

Although he may have lived his life in Australia somewhat in Vivant’s shadow, Conquistador is a very serious jumper and sire. With a beautiful, modern pedigree that reads like a who’s who of superstar talent, it is no surprise that he is also proving to be a sire of considerable note.Conquistador was a product of his pedigree, easy scope, unbelievable power and quick reflexes.

  • Randel Z [Ramiro] is the sire of top four WEG 2014, Cortes and Beezie Madden*His full brother Utrillo vd Heffnick was also a Grand Prix performer in France and then Germany under Franke Sloothak.
  • His full sister is the dam of the up and coming grand prix horse Dax P’Abdifhoeve, World Champion 7 year old.
  • He is a 7/8 relative in blood to Cornet Obolensky.Cornet Obolensky, also an Olympian and super sire is already the sire of Olympians.

Conquistador produces quality jumpers with power and scope. To all types of mares he is producing jumpers. He carries the chestnut gene and the sabino gene through Heartbreaker. Yalambis Bellini Star, his first Australian born filly is already named on the Elite list and is a World Cup performer. 

He produces horses for professionals and amateurs and his daughters are proving to be excellent brood mares, producing quality types and strong jumpers.
